It is over 25 years since our family graduated from Albany High School, but we remember Donald Lutzy well as an honored musical mentor to our children, as a trusted confidante to so many AHS students, and as the figure with his back to us during many student musical performances, immediately recognizable as Mr. Lutzy, who made those events so much more vibrant and pleasurable. He taught his students both the discipline and the joy of making music – and enriched the AHS community in the process. Our condolences to his family.
