Obituary of Kelly Ann Berdar

KELLY ANN BERDAR

SCHROON LAKE - Kelly Ann Berdar, 62 of Schroon Lake and formerly Latham, beloved wife of Charles R. Berdar, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2023 at Elderwood at North Creek.

Born on May 20, 1961 in Troy, NY, Kelly was the daughter of the late Joseph H. and Jo-Ann (Neiles) Flynn Jr. She attended and graduated Shaker High School, class of 1979. Kelly and Chuck were married in May of 1995 in Saratoga Springs. She dedicated 39 years working as a Purchasing Agent at the Watervliet Arsenal retiring in July of 2021.

In addition to her husband, Chuck, Kelly is survived by her sons, Scott (Donna) Berdar and Charlie (Taunya) Berdar Jr., grandsons Matthew and Ryan Berdar, brother David (Jill) Flynn, and best friend of 46 years Cindy Murray along with her husband Tim and daughter Ericka, whom Kelly also considered family.

Kelly was a beautiful person inside and out. She adored her husband from day one right up until the end. They shared their love of lake life and spending time at their beautiful home on Schroon Lake. They could often be found cooking a burger and having a fire at night or taking the boat out for a ride almost daily. They truly loved and lived a simple life. The love they shared was so special along with their cute banter, which would lead to endless laughs. They shared a true love at its finest and Chuck will forever hold Kelly's memory in his heart.

Kelly also held a special place in her heart for her two grandsons, Matthew and Ryan, who affectionately referred to her as "Nana". Her and Chuck attended many games and events of theirs and she will be missed being their biggest fan.

Kelly was also a truly good friend to so many. She knew how to treat people and loved and cherished the many friendships in her life. She will be deeply missed, especially her big heart. May she rest in peace until we all meet again.

Kelly's family wishes to acknowledge the dedicated and compassionate care that Kelly was provided by the doctors, nurses, and staff of Glens Falls Hospital, Elderwood at North Creek, and High Peaks Hospice. A special thank you to Kelly's surgeon, Dr. Heller of Albany Medical Center.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, October 5, 2023, from 3 to 6 PM at the Dufresne and Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham. A prayer service will conclude the visitation.
