ARLENE M. TRIOLA
ALBANY - Arlene (Plew) Triola, 90 of Albany, NY, beloved wife of Dominick C. Triola, passed away November 11, 2023 at her residence at Daughters of Sarah Community for Seniors.
Fondly nicknamed "Bunky", Arlene was born in Albany on February 27, 1933 and was the daughter of the late Kathryn (DeSaw) and Frederick Plew. She was a 1950 graduate of Albany High School.
Arlene was employed by the New York State Senate and Assembly for many years. Later in life, coinciding with a move to Nevada, she worked for the Las Vegas Convention Center.
In addition to her husband of 70 years, Dominick, survivors include her children Patty Light, Tom Triola, grandson Dan (Piper) Light and her beautiful great-grandchildren, Keene and Lark Light. Also survived by her loving sister Margaret "Peggy" Schmidt, and many nieces and nephews.
She is pre deceased by her sister Marilyn (Bill) Patry, inlaws, Richard Schmidt, Charles and Mary Triola, Anne and Eddie Morini, Marge and Leo Pusatere, and Joseph and Francine Triola.
Upon returning to Albany, Arlene and Dominick resided at Hearthstone Village in Latham, where they met many new friends and enjoyed senior life. They then moved to Atria Crossgates Assisted Living with a kind and helpful staff. After suffering a stroke in 2022, Arlene would delight in watching videos of her great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of Daughters of Sarah Community for Seniors for their kindness and care during Arlene's stay.
A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, 10:30 AM at St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Rd., Latham. Interment to immediately follow the mass at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Orange Street Cats PO Box10733, Albany NY or the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society. Arlene and Dom loved their many cats.
