Obituary of Catherine T. Gorman
CATHERINE T. GORMAN
LATHAM - Catherine T. (Brennan) Gorman, 91 of Latham, beloved wife of the late Ambrose J. Gorman., entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 16, 2023 while at her home with her children Cathleen and Michael at her side.
Born in Jersey City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Theresa (LaMont) Brennan. Catherine was raised in Jersey City as well as on Long Island prior to moving to upstate New York.
Catherine met her cherished husband, Ambrose, while working as a bank teller. The two would share 53 years of marriage prior to Ambrose's passing in 2021.
Catherine was a communicant of St. Ambrose Church in Latham. She will be fondly remembered for always being up for an adventure, her love of animals, her devotion to the Blessed Mother, and of course the love she had for her family. She will be deeply missed yet forever loved in the hearts of those she leaves behind as she would often say "a bushel and a peck".
In addition to her late parents and husband, Catherine is predeceased by her son Patrick J. Gorman, a grandchild, a sister, and two brothers.
She is survived by her children: Marie (Joe) Aiken, Monique (Tom) Duval, Michelle Gorman-Covarrubias, Cathleen Gorman, and Michael (Amy) Gorman. Also survived by her sister Carol Moore, eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Tuesday, November 21st, 2023 from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at The Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham.
