Obituary of Shirley Mae Hindes

East Greenbush- Shirley Mae Hindes, 78, beloved wife of Bernard E. Hindes, entered into eternal life on Sunday, May 23, 2010 at the Van Rensselaer Manor, in North Greenbush.
Born and educated in Plattsburg, she was the daughter of the late Norman Emery and Evelyn (Chamberlain) Peryer. Shirley married her beloved Bernard E.Hindes in 1950 and the two have shared a blessed union of 60 years.
Shirley's greatest joy in her life was her family.
Survivors in addition to her husband are her loving children Thomas & Nicki Hindes of East Greenbush, David & Kathy Hindes of East Schodack, Katherine A. Hindes of East Schodack, Michael & Stephanie Hindes, Susan & Nathan Butler of Rensselaer and Mark A. Hindes of Glasco, she was the sister of Norman Peryer, Donald Peryer, Louis Peryer all of West Chazy and Phyllis Powers of Louisana, She is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister Mary DeCoste and Great Grandson Noah Carpenter.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 am at The Church of St. Mary's at Clinton Heights on Columbia Turnpike in East Greenbush with Rev. David LeFort officiating.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Tuesday from 4-7 pm at the Funeral Home.
Interment will be in New Rural Cemetery, Rensselaer.
