JANICE E. TETA

WATERVLIET - Janice E. (Powers) Teta, 73 of Watervliet and formerly Latham, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Barnwell Nursing & Rehab Center, in Valatie.

Born in Troy, NY, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Marian (Donlon) Powers.

Jan was raised in Watervliet and graduated from Watervliet High School, Class of 1968. She held several positions throughout her career in healthcare as an insurance call center manager for Blue Cross, Value Rx, and most recently Express Scripts in Troy. Jan was a former parishioner of St. Ambrose Church in Latham.

Survivors include her daughter Christine (Ben) Foster, grandchildren Maya Wolter, Ashlynne Kluss-Teta, Nicholas Teta, and Alexander Teta, as well as siblings Donna (Edward) Pfeifer and Robert (Jane) Powers.

In addition to her late parents, she is predeceased by her son David Teta.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, December 5th, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at The Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 6th, 2023 at 10:00 am. Interment to follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
