Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, April 12, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at The Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, 10:00 am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, 2416 7th Ave, Watervliet with Rite of Committal and interment to immediately follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery.

LATHAM - Eleanore C. Guzy, 95 of Latham, beloved wife of the late John J. Guzy., entered into eternal rest on December 22, 2023.

Born in Troy, NY on July 8, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Panza) Ceglia.

Eleanore worked as an accounting clerk employed by the former NY Telephone Co., now Verizon.

Eleanore is survived by her loving family including: children Christopher Guzy of Vancouver, Stephanie (Chester) Butkiewicz of Schenectady, and Carole (John) Borgerding of Allen, TX; Grandchildren Shawn (Rachael) Borgerding of St. Louis, MO and Leah (Jason) Spradling of Atlanta, GA; Great grandson Henry Spradling of Atlanta, GA; Niece Jeanne (Kathy Johnson) Lajeunesse. She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her late husband and parents Eleanore is predeceased by her sister Joan Lajeunesse.

The family would like to thank the caregivers over the past years, Kylee, Grace, Kimberly, Lori, Deniel, Elizabeth, and Gifty. Knowing they were with Mom meant everything to us.

Services will be held later in the spring, dates and times to be announced, for relatives and friends at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham, NY. At that time Eleanore will be laid to rest with her beloved husband at St. Patrick's Cemetery immediately following the service.
