Obituary of Virginia T. "Ginger" Percuoco
VIRGINIA T. PERCUOCO
SCHENCTADY - Virginia T. (Shea) Percuoco, 79 of Schenectady, joined her beloved husband, the late James D. Percuoco, in heaven on Friday, April 26, 2024. She passed at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady.
Born in Troy, on October 3, 1944 she was the daughter of the late Walter and Marion (Collins) Shea. Ginger, as she was affectionately known as, and Jim were married on February 6, 1971, sharing almost 50 cherished years together prior to his passing in 2021.
Ginger retired from Hilltop Nursing and Rehabilitation in Niskayuna where she worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was beloved mother to her two daughters, Jamie and Jennifer, and loving grandmother to her grandson, Daniel. Ginger enjoyed ceramics and tuning in to her favorite TV show, Law and Order as well as music and dancing. Her family was her most precious source of joy and she will be deeply missed yet forever remembered in the lives of those she loved.
In addition to her late husband and parents, Ginger is predeceased by her brother Alan Shea.
She is survived by her beloved daughters Jamie Percuoco (Walter) and Jennifer Percuoco, her grandson Daniel J. Percuoco (Nadiya), siblings Vaughn "Soxey" Shea and Carolyn Riegert, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, May 3, 2024, 12:00 to 2:00 pm at The Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham. A prayer service will begin at 2:00 pm.
