Obituary of Corina A. Tiemeyer
CORINA A. TIEMEYER
ALBANY - Corina A. Tiemeyer passed away on Thursday, May 23 with her son Chris, daughter-in-law Jin, and granddaughter Jasmine at her side. Corina was a fighter. She persevered through anything life threw at her including a brain aneurysm, lung cancer three times, and severe COPD - always with a smile on her face and a steadfast faith. She was a dedicated single mother of two boys, an involved (and super cool) grandmother, and supportive mother-in-law.
Corina was known for her wit, humor, and charisma. Whether with family, friends, or strangers, she would have you laughing and feeling welcomed within the first five minutes of her entering the room. And you could always count on her to beat you at whatever board game or card game you were playing.
Corina was passionate about supporting local charities, volunteering at both the Children's Hospital at Lee Memorial and Hope Hospice. Her real love was serving in the Sunday School children's ministry at her church, working with kids with special needs through a program that she helped developed and implement. Simply put, Corina's mission in life was to help those around her; she was always focused on putting the needs of others first.

"And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Look! God's dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 'He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death' or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."" Revelation 21:3-4 NIV
