ANNE L. RAPPAZZO
LATHAM - Anne L. (Levsha) Rappazzo, 97 of Latham, beloved wife of the late Charles L. Rappazzo, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at Peregrine Senior Living at Clifton Park, with her family at her side
Born in New York City she was the daughter of the late Peter and Helen (Sosnowska) Levsha. Anne and Charlie shared a beautiful union of 65 years together prior to his passing in 2015.
Anne graduated from Phillip Schuyler High School class of 1944 and thence attend and graduate from the College of Saint Rose class of 1948. She went on to dedicate many years of service to a career with New York State retiring as Executive Secretary with the Division of Laboratories and Research. During that time Anne also put her heart and soul into the raising of her family. Anne was a former member of the Colonie Elks and Edison Golf Club. She enjoyed golfing, sewing, and staying active. She loved family life, especially the gatherings at their home on the Mohawk River. She loved her friends and cherished neighbors, especially those in Sarasota Florida, where her and Charlie spent many winters together.
In addition to her late parents and husband, Anne is predeceased by her two brothers Michael and John Levsha.
She is survived by her loving family: her children Charlene Shortsleeve, Robert (Karyn) Rappazzo, and Richard (Debra) Rappazzo as well as her six beloved grandchildren Race, Risa, Robin, Rhea, Rayne, and Lucy. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In accordance with Anne's wishes services will be private at this time. A celebration of her life will take place at a later date and time to be announced. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saratoga County Community Hospice by visiting www.communityhospice.org.
