Obituary of Roberta T. Wolf
ALBANY – Roberta Wolf, 71, of Loudonville, passed away on Friday, September 13th at St. Peter’s
Hospital with her beloved family by her side.
Roberta was born to Robert and Nancy Trejderowski on September 26th, 1952, in Amsterdam, NY. She
graduated from Perth Central School and went on to study Secretarial Science at Fulton Montgomery
Community College. She was a devoted legal secretary for several years.
She married the love of her life and soulmate, Michael Wolf, on June 30th, 1979, at St. Stephen’s Roman
Catholic Church in Hagaman, NY. Roberta and Michael had six children. Their first children were twins,
Sara and Phillip, who passed shortly after they were born and were forever held in their hearts. They
then had Stephen, Laura, Doug, and Rebecca, all of whom they raised in Loudonville. Their children were
their world, and they lovingly and steadfastly put all of their needs before their own. After Michael
passed away unexpectedly of brain cancer in October of 1996, Roberta continued to raise their children
and persevered as a single mother. She had been a stay-at-home mom, and then returned to work as a
teaching assistant at North Colonie Central Schools for many years.
Roberta loved painting ceramics in her early years. She loved the Yankees, her pets, cooking for others,
and it never took much convincing to get her to go out and get some ice cream, one of her favorite
things to do. Nothing excited her more than the day she became a grandparent; she so enjoyed
spending time with all of her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her family.
Roberta is survived by her children, Stephen Wolf of Albany; Laura (Wolf) Acemoglu and her husband,
Tom, of Stillwater; Douglas Wolf Sr., of Stillwater; and Rebecca Wolf, of Loudonville. She also leaves her sister, Patricia Delorme, and her husband, Jeffrey, of Johnstown; and her nieces from Massachusetts,
Marion, Michele, and Sharon. She is survived by seven grandchildren, Zoe, Anna, Eden, Gemma, Douglas Jr., Isaac, and Pia.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 20th, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Pius X
Church in Loudonville; Reverend James Walsh, celebrant. Burial will follow at Our Lady Help of Christians Cemetery in Glenmont, NY. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Albany Med Children’s Hospital are appreciated.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of The Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Latham.
