Obituary of Gerald "Rob" Robert Bruck
GERALD R. "ROB" BRUCK
COHOES - Gerald "Rob" Robert Bruck, 65 of Cohoes, beloved and devoted husband of the late Christine M. (Apuzzi) Bruck, passed away suddenly Saturday, September 28, 2024.
Born in Kingston, NY, in 1959 he was the son of Gerald J. and Esther J. (DuBois) Bruck. Rob and Christine were married on September 1st, 1996 in Kingston and spent a beautiful 14 years together prior to her passing in 2011.
Rob attended Kingston High School and graduated from the BOCES program in 1978. He went on to become a successful welder who took great pride in his work. He was a member of the Boilermakers Union Local #197 and spent the majority of his career working at the Kenneth Kesselring Site in Milton.
Rob was an avid NY Yankees and NY Giants fan. He enjoyed softball, skiing, golfing, bowling, volley ball, and camping. Above all, he loved his family and they were his deepest source of joy. He will be deeply missed yet eternally cherished and loved in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
In addition to his parents, Rob is survived by his beloved son Justin R. Bruck, his sister Lynn (Frank) Sloboda, his aunts and uncles Renee (late Sonny) Kish, Butch (Carol) DuBois, and Regina (late Lou) LaContour, as well as nieces and nephews Jeremy, Owen, Nick, Liam, Joey, Jake, Grace, Stella, Chris, and David.
In addition to his late wife Christine, Rob is predeceased by several aunts and uncles.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation and funeral mass on Thursday, October 3rd, 2024 at St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Rd., Latham. The visitation will take place from 9:00 to 10:30 AM and the funeral mass will begin at 10:30 AM. Interment to immediately follow the mass in the family plot of the Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna, where Rob will be laid to rest alongside his beloved Christine.
