EVELINE E. WARD
Menands- Eveline E. Ward, a longtime resident of Troy, passed away on Sunday July 18, 2010 with her loving family by her side.
Originally from North Creek, she was one of 17 children born to the late Effie May (Matthews) and Albert Williams.
Eveline's work experience included positions at Eastern Tablet, Albany Felt & Montgomery Wards. She later managed 2 local nursing homes. She had a beautiful singing voice, enjoyed dancing with her husband, dinners and bingo at Wolfert's Roost and the love of special pets. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her family.
Married in 1943, she was the beloved wife of Harold M. Ward, who passed away in 1982. She was the devoted mother of Irene Owen (Albert-dec.) and Eveline Ward-Sells (Edwin) and grandmother to JoAnne Owen. She is also survived by one brother, Raymond.
Services were held on July 22, 2010 at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home in Latham. Fr. Dennis Tamburello, OFM, officiated
Interment took place at St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy.
