HAROLD D. ANGLIN
Latham- Harold D. Anglin, 79 of Latham, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 12 at Eddy Village Green in Cohoes where he currently resided.
Born in Independence, Mississippi on January 24, 1931, he was the son of the late Joseph and Maryesta (Perkins) Anglin. He proudly served during the Korean War in the Navy.
Harold was employed by NYNEX in Albany as a Senior Manager, eventually retiring in February 1992 after 42 years of service. Notably from 1960-1964, he worked on the Distant Early & Ballistic Missile Early Warning System in Greenland, Iceland, Canada & London.
He was the Past Exalted Ruler from 1982-1983 at the Colonie Elks Lodge #2192. Harold was a devoted Cowboys and Dodgers fan and an excellent golfer who won many local championships & tournaments.
He is survived by his children; Michael Anglin of West Palm Beach, FL, MaryAnn (Robert) Anglin-Singleton of Latham & Matthew (Sylvia) Anglin of Malta. His 5 cherished grandchildren; Melissa, Michael, David, Alannah & Anthony as well as his great grandson Jake; his brother: Kenneth (JoAnn) Anglin of Olive Branch, Miss. and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister Mary Lynn and brother Joseph Anglin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Harold on Monday at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham. Fr. Geoffrey Burke will officiate.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call Sunday from 2-5 PM at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Ltd., 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham, NY.
In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 125 Wolf Rd, Suite 225, Albany NY 12205
Interment will be at Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
