Obituary of David R. March

DAVID R. MARCH Amsterdam- David R. March, 61 of Amsterdam, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at home. Born in Oneida, NY on February 10, 1949, he was the son of the late Russell A. and Gloria W. (Woodhouse) March. He was a 1967 graduate of Shaker High School and furthered his studies at SUNY Morrisville where he received a Degree in Culinary Arts. David was married to the former Virginia "Ginny" Thackrah. He also served in the US Coast Guard. At one time David was the Chef for many years at Brother Dominick's Pub in Schenectady, as well as at Cognetta's Restaurant in Schenectady. Survivors include his wife: Virginia "Ginny" March at home, his brother Gary (Suzanne) March of Athens, his sister Karen (Ed) Trachsler of Grafton; several nieces especially acknowledging Jennifer (David) Garbaini of Latham and nephew; Michael Trachsler of Clay, NY Memorial services will be held Saturday October 16 at 12:00 noon at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Ltd., 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Rev. James Daley will officiate.
