Roberta was one of those rare individuals who seem lit from within. She drew people to her with her personality and kindness and of course her wicked sense of humor. She was on the periphery of my life for most of the last fifty years as my sister Laurie’s best friend. Since they were older and much cooler, I wasn’t allowed to hang out with them but I always heard Roberta stories. I did not get to know Roberta well until the last couple of years during a few trips to Latham and her more frequent trips to Tennessee. I was fortunate to be the designated entertainment for Berta when Laurie went off to work. We enjoyed sitting in the back yard telling stories, making runs to Goodwill, and taking road trips. It so was easy being with Berta and people who just met her wanted to be her best friend too. My mother and I will miss her visits very much. We wish her family some comfort in the most difficult of times and know are hearts are with them.

Roberta fought a great battle and when her time came, the Lord called her home. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends, but I am sure Harry was there to give her a warm welcome. God Bless

Roberta was a treasure and a true friend. She accepted and loved me unconditionally for over 30 years. Berta understood and more often than not made me laugh at my flaws, insecurities and peculiarities. Our friendship was a gift that I will cherish forever. Rest in peace my friend..

Doug and sons, So sorry to hear about Roberta. She was my best friend when we lived in Latham and I'm sorry we didn't keep in touch after moving. I'll always remember our "lazy days" in the summer and then rushing to get chores done before you and Don got home from work. Roberta always made everything an adventure and fun. Our kids truly benefitted from having your family as neighbors. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. I know God is right now laughing his head off at his newest angel
