Obituary of Francis J. Pezze

FRANCIS J. PEZZE Latham- Francis "Frank" J. Pezze, 79 of Latham, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday November 29 at Community Hospice at Julie Blair Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Born in Sheffield, Mass on November 27, 1931, he was the son of the late Frank P. and Christine (Edgecomb) Pezze. He was a 1950 Graduate of Pittsfield High School. Frank married the former Carole A. Ille on February 16, 1963 and the two shared a blessed union of 47 years prior to his passing. Frank proudly served in the US Marines during the Korean War and was honorably discharged as a decorated Sgt. He was a Sales Representative for Capital City Container, Coyne Laundry and Unifirst eventually retiring in 1993. He then did part-time work for a few local companies. His first & foremost priority was always his family. He was above & beyond the common definition of husband, father & grandfather. His devotion to family, his wife of 47 years, his children & grandchildren has been insurmountable. Frank truly enjoyed the outdoors; basketball, golf, fishing and especially driving were among his favorites. Survivors in addition to his beloved wife: Carole, include his loving children: Deborah Pezze of Cohoes, Sharon (Pete) Lamberton of TX & Lisa (Mark) Nichols of Colonie. His 2 cherished grandsons Connor & Kevin Nichols as well as his two sisters: Anna (Tom) Buckley & Norma (Larry) Cullivan both of Mass. and several nieces and nephews. Frank is predeceased by his Brother, Frank P. Pezze Jr. and his sister, Marion Miraglia The family wishes to thank the staff of Bright Horizons of Carondolet, Julie Blair NH & Community Hospice for the exceptional care and concern they gave toward Frank during his time there. Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial gathering on Thursday from 10-11 am at St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham.
