Dear Jules --
We miss you more and more each day.
I once wrote a note to you saying that you were "the greatest young lady that I ever knew."
In truth you were more than that. You were the greatest, nicest person I ever had the pleasure of knowing.
Your life was an example to me that I seek to emulate every day.
Please know that I think of you every moment. You always were, and always will be my princess.
Love,
Dad

Julie skipped into my first grade classroom and left lifelong footprints on my heart with her exuberance, sweetness and warmth.
She always had a smile or a hug to share and would be the first one to help another student or to offer an encouraging word to someone who needed it.
God gave Julie an innocent and pure heart which blessed so many of us in her short time here on this earth. I was her teacher, but she taught me so much about perseverance, finding joy in each day, and loving freely without judgement. I am a better person because I had the privilege of spending a year with Julie in my early career as a teacher. Long before I became a parent, I watched Steve and Karen and learned what unselfish devotion and love looked like from two amazing parents.
Julie, we will all be reunited again one day and join you in that chorus in heaven; until then I pray for peace and comfort to those of us who must walk forward without you.

Let's say that in the short time I knew Julie, it was delightful. She wore that forever, bright smile and was very kind. She was tough though, when it came time to bargain with her for a trade in our league. I guess she was right in her choices because she finished ahead of me. Well, God bless Julie. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Julie, I will be forever grateful for our friendship! You weresuchfun to be with. What happy memories I have of you...the hike on the Indian Ladder Trail, sharing get togethers with my grandaughter, Jennifer. You didn't even mind the time that we rode on the State Museum's merry-go-round 10 times because Jennifer enjoyed it so much. I will always remember the time that we prepared a turkey dinner for your family. There are so many other memories I will cherish of our times together. Words cannot express how much I am going to miss your joyful friendship.
I will always love you,

Dear Mrs. Amedio,
I was so sorry to hear of your loss in the Times Union this morning. Julie was definetly a very memorable classmate of mine and I knew how important she was in your life. I have on numerous occasions reminisced with many of our classmates on how wonderful of a person you are and how important you were to our education at Southgate. It was always brought up how wonderful Julie was: kind, caring, and so nice to every person she came in contact. We above all knew that she got that all from you. My thoughts and prayers are with you. SIncerely,

Dear Amedio Family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you. I will always remember Julie's smile and all of the fun times we shared together in both junior high and high school. I was lucky in that we had gym class together almost all 6 years. I did not enjoy gym however when Julie and I had gym together we had nothing but fun! I will always remember how beautiful Julie looked at Senior Prom and how much fun we had that evening! May we never forget Julie's smiling face and her contagious laughter!
