WILLIAM B. WILEY
Latham- William B. Wiley, 87 of Latham, beloved husband of Audrey Foote Wiley entered into eternal life on Monday, February 7, 2011 at the Eddy Heritage House in Troy.
Born in Albany, he was son of the late Nathan C. and Julia (Earle) Wiley. He was a graduate of Milne High School in Albany class of 1941 and from Alfred College of Technical Institute class of 1948. Bill and Audrey were married on May 20, 1950 and the two shared over 60 years together. They have spent 50 years living on Eberle Road with family and many dear friends. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1942 until 1946. He was the manager of retail sales for Pacific Pools in Latham for over 20 years, until retiring in 1988. He then worked part time at the Town of Colonie Assessors office. He was a member of the Capital District Armed Guard and the Steamship Society. He was a former member of the Colonie Elks Lodge #2192. Bill was a proud participant of the Patriot Flights Program.
Survivors in addition to his wife include his loving children William L. (Kathleen M.) Wiley of Latham, and David N. (Elizabeth P.) Wiley of Onset, MA, his cherished grandchildren Tara A. Wiley, Christopher W. (Cheryl) Wiley, Kaia M. Wiley, Luke C. Wiley and Nathan Q. Wiley. He is also survived by his loving sister Marsha Ercius of Durango, Colorado along with several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Saratoga National Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home in Latham.
