Obituary of Blanche T. Hukey

BLANCHE T. HUKEY Newtonville- Blanche T. Hukey, 93 of Newtonville, beloved wife of the late Harold C. Hukey, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at Community Hospice at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center, in Guilderland. Born in Clinton, NY on April 19, 1917, she was the daughter of the late John & Phoebe (Davis) Barden. She was married to Harold C. Hukey who passed away on June 6, 1990. Blanche was employed by NYS Department for the Aging in Albany as an Account Clerk, a position she retired from in 1981. She was also a member of the Senior Citizens Club at St. Francis DeSales & the Colonie Senior Citizens. She is survived by her loving children: Carol Ann (Richard) Gallacchi of Colonie, John (Judith) Hukey of KS, Karen Hukey of Colonie & Gary Hukey of Wilton, her 8 cherished grandchildren & 15 Great Grandchildren as well as her sister: Eleanor Szuba and two brothers: William & Joseph Barden. She is predeceased by her Niece, Marlene Hession and several other nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Monday February 21, 2001 from 4-6 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Ltd., 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham Services and inurnment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
