MADELINE C. LABARGE
Cohoes - Madeline C. "Cassie" LaBarge, 87, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 10, 2011 surrounded by her loving family.
Daughter of the late Daniel and Anne (Burke) Carlon of Cohoes, she was predeceased by her beloved husband William E. LaBarge and her sister Anne C. (Phillip) Damm of Ambler, PA.
She is survived by her daughters Madeline A. (James) O'Toole of Hague, NY and Caroyl E. LaBarge of San Francisco, CA; 3 grandchildren Peter (Brenda) O'Toole of Ballston Spa, Eric (Aimee) O'Toole of Brooklyn, NY & Jennifer (Bryon)(O'Toole) Lockhart of Mount Laurel, NJ; 8 great grandchildren, 4 nieces & nephews and many close friends.
A graduate of Cohoes High School, she worked for many years for the North Colonie School System as a Library Assistant at Shaker High School.
An avid gardener, she took great pleasure working in the flower gardens which surrounded her home. When not gardening she and her husband enjoyed the outdoors skiing in winter and sailing in the summer on Lake George. They also enjoyed traveling all over the world.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday April 15, 2011 from 9:30 - 11:00 am at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Ltd., 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 11:30 am at St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Fr. Francis DuBois officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her memory to High Peaks Hospice, PO Box 192, Port Henry, NY 12974.
Interment will take place at 1:30 pm at Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
