To my Poniatowski cousins, Joanne, Jimmy, Joe and Julie, may Gods Peace, Glory and Grace be with you and your families at this difficult time.
Uncle Johnny was a caring, loving and generous man. A truly sincere man. The door was always open when we were in town and stopped by. “What do you want to eat, what do you want to drink?” Usually it was the latter and ended up in the garage. So many good times to remember. He would to tell me how much he loved and missed Aunt Jean…. Not anymore since they now have been re-united in Heaven. Uncle John met our kids at my parent’s 50th surprise anniversary party and never forgot their names or interests. He would always ask about them when we spoke, a true testimony to his sincerity and character. They never forgot him swimming in the pool and going off the diving board with them at that party. Wish we could be there for the Celebration of his life. Love, Bob, Edwina, Drew & Haley

Here a few memories of my brother John that may be entertaining.
On the mornings John would go fishing, he used to tie a string around his big toe. It would wind through the house and out the window. When his buddies would come for him early in the morning, they’d pull the string for a wakeup call.
Also, I remember one morning Nana came running upstairs. She was panicking, and saying, "Something's wrong with Johnny!" Bob and I ran downstairs and Johhny was lying in bed with gauze wrapped around his head, like a mummy. Nana thought he was either hurt badly, or maybe even dead. Bob took him to the ER that morning, and under all that bandaging was a small gash. He and a buddy were coming home from somewhere in the adirondacks the night before, and their car hit a gard rail. He'd gone to a local hospital for treatment. They advised him to go to the ER the next day. It was a surprise to see such a little gash under all those bandages. We were all laughing and relieved.
God bless you Johnny.
I love you, Claire

I loved Uncle Johnny. I will always remember him as a hard working, loving and good man, with a bit of a mischievous boy in him. I remember when he lived at Nana and Papa’s house, before he married Aunt Jean. We were living above them on 2nd street. I know he's been reunited with Aunt Jean, Nana and Papa. God bless you all, Joe, Jimmy, Joanne and Julie. I wish I could be there. Love, Susan

Uncle John was a good man. He was hard working, kind and fun to be around. He was crazy about his family, and I know how much he missed Aunt Jean. I remember when he had return address labels printed up with a picture of him in his "dozer", which he had named, but I can't remember. RIP, Uncle John. I hope you have plenty of peeva in heaven. My condolences to Joanne,Jimmy,Joey and Julie and the grandkids. Love, Karen
