ARLENE E. SKIFF
Boght Corners-Arlene E. Skiff, 88 of Cohoes, beloved wife of Earl V. Skiff for 64 years, died suddenly Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at the Saratoga Hospital, in Saratoga Springs.
Born and educated in Greenwich, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mabel (Graham) Toomey. Mrs. Skiff married Earl V. Skiff on June 22, 1947 and the two have shared a blessed union.
Arlene and her husband were residents of Boght Corners for over 58 years. She was a member of the A.U.H.V. car club, the thunderbird club and the mustang club. She was a longtime member of the Boght Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary where she was also a former member of the bowling league.
Arlene's biggest joy in life was the family that she and her husband Earl have shared and everyone loved Arlene's chocolate chip cookies.
Survivors in addition to her husband include her loving children Garry (Lori) Skiff Sr. of Latham, Elizabeth (Gary) Feulner of Scotia and Gloria (Richard) Murtagh of West Glenville, her cherished grandchildren Katie Skiff, Garry Skiff Jr., Christine Feulner and Thomas Feulner. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Graham Toomey and sister Thelma Perkins.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Saturday from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Ltd., 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham, with a 12:00 noon service following in the Funeral Home with Rev. James Neevil officiating.
Interment will be in Memory's Garden in Colonie.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Christ Community Reformed Church 1010 Route 146, Clifton Park, NY 12065 would be appreciated.
