Obituary of Helen M. Oreshan

HELEN M. ORESHAN Boght Corners- Helen M. Oreshan, 87 of Boght Corners, beloved wife of Jacob Oreshan Sr. for 67 years, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at her home with her loving family at her side. Born in Schenectady, she lived most of her adult and married life in Boght Corners. She was the daughter of the late John and Pauline (Krajciewicz) Pawenski. Helen married her beloved Jacob Oreshan Sr. on September 4, 1943. She attended St. Ambrose Church and was a lifetime member of the Boght Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Helen was a devoted homemaker and a loving and caring mother to her children and wonderful "Nanny" to her grandchildren & great grandchildren. God our father will be so lucky to have her now by his side. Survivors in addition to her husband include her loving children: Jacob (Peni) Oreshan Jr. of Cohoes, John Oreshan of Latham and JoAnne (Paul) DeStefano of Clifton Park. She was predeceased by her daughter, Katherine Kehn. She is also survived by her 13 cherished grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren as well as her brother Edward Pawenski of N.Tonawanda, NY. She is predeceased by her sister Mary. Funeral Services will be held Saturday July 9 at 10:00 am at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham. Relatives and friends are invited to call Friday July 8 from 4-7 pm at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Ltd., 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham, NY. Hospice was our angels when we most needed help. Our warmest thanks go to Terry (our nurse), Shannon & Tess our aides. Deane our case worker and our wonderful friend Charmaine who treated mom with love, dignity and care.
