Obituary of Russell M. Toedt

RUSSELL M. TOEDT Colonie- Russell M. Toedt, 74 of Colonie, beloved fiance of the late Jenny Econome, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 11 at Albany Memorial Hospital. Born and educated in Albany on June 18, 1937, he was the son of the late Marshall and Leona (Quinlivin) Toedt. Russell was a window washer for several years for various companies. He then began his successful furniture finishing business that he did for many years. He also had a love for antiques. He is survived by his loving children: Leona Toedt, Russell Jr., Daniel, Denise Comeau, Darlene Pace all of Mass., Blane Toedt of Rhode Island & Laurie Noonan of Maine; 21 cherished grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren as well as his brother Marcus Toedt of Florida, several nieces, nephews & cousins, many dear and special friends especially: Joe Kenyeres, Jim Amanatides, Bob Ryan & Joe Blossfeld. Russell is also survived by his 3 feline companions: Frankie, Leo & Smokey He is predeceased by his sister: Catherine George & fiance Jenny Econome. Memorial services will be held Friday July 15 at 5:30 pm at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Ltd., 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Rev. Nick Tebordo will officiate.
