Obituary of Branden J. Treacy

BRANDEN J. TREACY Latham- Branden J. Treacy, "Boo B", 19, passed away peacefully Monday August 22, 2011 at home with his loving family by his side. Branden was born on February 11, 1992 at Albany Medical Center and fought a courageous battle from the start. He overcame many obstacles his entire life and became an intelligent & beautiful young man. Branden touched many lives in his 19 year journey and was loved and cherished by all who knew him. He is survived and will be greatly missed by his devoted parents: Laura and Bob Treacy, loving brothers: Daniel, Aaron & Connor; caring maternal grandparents Margie & Terry Norris as well as his aunts & uncles: Terri-Ann (Fred) Onyon, Shawn (Mark) Wassula, Wayde (Marillee) Norris, Debbie (Rusty) Ratigan, Judy (Bill) Rowe, Donna Baker, Patty (Tom) Hoodack & Rick (Juanita) Treacy; great aunt: Barbara (George) Ryan, many cousins and special cousins: Jessica Onyon, Erica Lawrence & Nicole Dziminski. The Treacy's would like to pay a special tribute to Branden's second mom Traci Schanz. Traci has been Branden's voice, ears & protector since "B" was 2 years old. Words can not even come close to say what Traci meant to "B" and our family. His universe revolved around Traci. His last kiss was for you. We would also like to say a special thanks to Deb Shea, not only was Deb Branden's physical therapist but has been in "B's" corner since kindergarten. Thank you to Branden's special friends Eileen Max and Sammy Shapiro. He is predeceased by his Aunt Paula, Grandmother: Sue Treacy, Uncle and Aunt: John (Bev) Treacy. Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial gathering on Wednesday August 24 from 4-7 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. A Memorial Service for Branden will be held at 7:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Best Buddies or to STRIDE in care of the funeral home.
