ATLEE P. WARNER Albany- Atlee P. Warner, 91 of Albany, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at the Stratton VA Medical Center, in Albany. Born in Schenectady on April 18, 1917, he was the son of the late David Atlee and Mary Grace (Thompson) Warner. He proudly served during World War II as Staff Sgt. in the Army stationed in England & France, he received the Purple Heart with 2 oak leaf clusters and the Bronze Star. After serving in the Army he was promoted to a Major in the NY State Guard. Atlee was also a member of the Colonie Elks #2192, Master Lodge #5, Wadsworth Lodge #417 & Ancient Temple Lodge #14 of F&AM. As well as the Scottish Rite of Albany Valley and Odd Fellows Mountaineer Lodge. He was a member of the McKownville United Methodist Church. Survivors include his sister: Beverly M. Saltsman of Baytown, TX, Sister in law Louise Warner of Guilderland; beloved friend Ann Mary Fusco of Gloversville and Nephew Theodore R. Warner Jr. He is predeceased by his brother Theodore R. Warner A graveside memorial service will be held on Thursday May 21 at 11:00 am at the Hageman Mills Cemetery, S. Pawling St. Hageman. Pastor Steven Butler will officiate.
