CONGETTA "CONNIE" RIBERDY
Latham-Congetta Mary Riberdy (Flush) passed on Sunday November 27, 2011 at 10:00 am. Connie was an avid violinist, she had preformed in the Troy Music Hall Troy and the Troy Conservatory of Music. Connie was a loving mother and grandmother. Connie was born in Troy NY on April 30 1920 to the late Anthony Flush and Rose Bell Flush-DeCarlo. She married Ernest G. Riberdy on Thanksgiving Day, Nov 25, 1945.
After high school she worked as a legal secretary and after marrying Ernie she was the bookkeeper for their oil company, Riberdy Oil. She was a member of the K of C Auxiliary and the women's Auxiliary of the Colonie Elks Lodge #2192. She was an avid bowler and bowled until she was about 83 years young.
Predeceased are Father, Anthony Flush. Mother, Rose Bell Flush-DeCarlo. Husband ,Ernest G. Riberdy. Son ,Ernest D. Riberdy. Stepfather, Augustus DeCarlo. Siblings Joseph A. DeCarlo, brother. Julia DeCarlo Shook, sister. Angeline DeCarlo Moffre, deceased sister. Adeline DeCarlo deceased sister.
Survivors include her grandson Daniel Riberdy and Daughter-in-law Jeanie Riberdy of Latham. Also her two surrogate children Donald and Debra Nerf and guardians of Latham.
Funeral Services will be Saturday December 3, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Assumption Church 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road Latham, with Rev. Geoffrey Burke officiating.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home 149 Old Loudon Rd. Latham on Wednesday November 30, 2011 from 4-6 p.m.
Interment will be in Memory's Garden in Colonie.
