PHYLLIS J. CARLINO Latham- Phyllis J. Carlino, of Latham, beloved wife of Frank J. Carlino Jr., entered into eternal life on Wednesday February 15, 2012 at the Community Hospice Inn with her loving family by her side. Born in Cohoes on May 4, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Julia (Jacon) Smith. Phyllis married Frank J. Carlino Jr. on May 4, 1974 and the two shared a blessed union of 38 years prior to her passing. Phyllis was employed at the State University of Albany as a Library Clerk for over 20 years. She was also a volunteer at the Regional Food Bank for many years helping at their numerous fundraising events. A devout Catholic, she was a communicant of St. Ambrose Church in Latham. Her family was the center of her life. She enjoyed traveling with them and lounging with them and her girlfriends in her backyard pool. Phyllis also enjoyed shopping with her girlfriends. Survivors include her beloved husband: Frank J. Carlino Jr. her two loving sons Brian (Amie) F. Carlino of Danbury, CT and Kevin J. Carlino of Chicago, IL, her brother Robert (Rosemarie) Smith of Edgewater, MD, her cherished granddaughters Ava Julia Carlino and Ella Lillian Carlino. She is also survived by her father-in-law Frank J. Carlino Sr., brother-in-law Rev. Richard Carlino, Aunt Helen, Uncle Bill and several cousins as well as dear friends Mary Ann (Mike) Wiwczar, Lynn Lance, Patti Youmans and countless friends through her church & workplace. She was predeceased by her mother-in-law Catherine (Piazza) Carlino. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday February 18, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road Latham, with Rev. Francis DuBois main celebrant and Phyllis's Brother in law Rev. Richard Carlino and Cousin Rev. Richard Broderick con-celebrating. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home 149 Old Loudon Rd. Latham, on Friday from 4-7 p.m. Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Colonie. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Daniel C. Kredentser MD, Lisa Armao, FNP, and the entire staff of Women's Cancer Care Associates and The Community Hospice for the utmost care they provided to Phyliss.
