Obituary of Albert "Jerry" Gallo

ALBERT (JERRY) GALLO Latham- Albert (Jerry) Gallo of Latham passed away peacefully on December 19th 2013. Born August 21st 1930 in Clyde New York, Jerry was the son of the late Anthony and Ida (Compitello) Gallo. Beloved husband of the late Helen Gallo, they cherished forty five years of marriage before her passing in 1997. Jerry graduated from Holy Family High School in Auburn, NY where he was a running back on the football team and a center on the basketball team. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Engineering at Syracuse University where he was on the Dean's List and later received his Master's Degree in Operations Research from Union College. Mr. Gallo was a Supervisor of Quality Control Engineering at the Watervliet Arsenal, working there for a total of 24 years before retiring in 1993. Prior, he held an engineering position at General Electric and Chrysler Corporation. He was a senior military instructor for many years with the 98th Division U.S Army Reserves. Survivors include three children: David, Paul and Teresa Gallo, Daughters in Law: Cindy and Barbara. Survivors also include his beloved grandchildren: Nathan and Dana Strang; Peter and Joseph Gallo; Alexandra, James, and Gina Gallo. Also surviving are two great-grandchildren: William and Patricia Strang. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
