Obituary of Kevin M. Kretser

Waterford-Kevin M. Kretser, age 41, died peacefully at Albany Medical Center on Feb, 16, 2014. He was the son of Diane & Art Perkins of Latham and Steven Kretser of Florida. He is also survived by two stepsisters, Machelle Perkins and Lynette Thomas, girlfriend, Pam KaraThomas, and his devoted dog, Hopscotch.
Kevin was a graduate of Shaker High School class of 1990 and SUNY Oswego with a bachelor's degree in business. He was self employed and was the owner of Beacon Media Consultants.
He was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity and an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed playing golf, lifting weights and had a black belt in Karate. He also enjoyed cooking with a knack for creating good dishes.
Kevin's legacy was his friendships and ability to keep people connected. From high school through adult life he touched many lives and had many devoted friends. They in turn had responded to him in his final days.
Kevin lived life to the fullest. He was always willing to help others. He was kind and loving and had a great sense of humor. He was famous for his Super Bowl parties.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday February 20, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Ambrose Catholic Church 347 Old Loudon Rd, Latham with Rev. Donald J. Ophals officiating, followed by a reception and celebration of Kevin's life at the McCormick Center at St. Ambrose.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home 149 Old Loudon Rd. Latham, on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
