Obituary of Marjorie Cavatta

Watervliet- Marjorie Cavatta, 79, a resident of Watervliet for over 54 years and beloved wife of the late Nicholas M. Cavatta, passed away peacefully on Monday July 14, 2014 at Eddy Village Green where she was currently a resident.
Born in Troy on July 28, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Maria (Tornesiello) Izzo. She graduated from Mechanicville High School and then received her Bachelor's degree in teaching from Oswego State.
Marjorie was a Kindergarten Teacher with the Troy City School District for over 35 years. She was a member of the Troy Teachers and NYS Teachers Associations. Marge loved traveling and especially wintering in Ft. Myers Florida. Her family was the center of her life and was the most important thing to her.
She is survived by her loving son: Nicholas (Marcia) Cavatta Jr. of Latham; her 3 cherished grandchildren: James (Christine) and Patrick Cavatta, Ashley (Mark) Bradley; adored Great Granddaughter, Lucy Margaret Bradley as well as her sister: Janet Izzo of Latham, her Sister in Law, Alice Izzo and former daughter in law, Donna Cavatta-Pratt
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday July 16, 2014 from 4-7 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham
Funeral services will be celebrated on Thursday July 17 at 10:30 a.m. at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham with Rev. Nick TeBordo officiating. .
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 1 Penny Lane, Latham, NY 12110
Interment will take place in St. Paul's Cemetery, Mechanicville.
