THOMAS D. FREDETTE
Clifton Park- Thomas D. Fredette, 72 of Clifton Park, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 19, 2014 in the comfort of his home with his loving family by his side.
Born in Cohoes on April 10, 1942, he was the son of the late Thomas L. and Mildred L. (West) Fredette. Tom was married to Ida May Louise LePage on October 3, 1959 and the two would have shared a bond of 55 years of love and devotion together in just a couple weeks.
He was a School Bus Driver and Trainer with the South Colonie School District, a position he had for 25 years, eventually retiring in 2004. Tom loved to play the organ and fly remote control planes, but the one thing he enjoyed the most was gardening, where he was a true expert gardener and could make anything grow in any types of conditions.
In addition to his beloved wife Louise, he is survived by his loving children; Darlene (Paul Ninno) Miller of Syracuse, Lisa (Tom) Brandt of Watervliet and Scott (Mary Landor) Fredette of Latham; his 3 cherished grandchildren: Michael Miller, Lindsey Brandt and Heather Fredette as well as his sister Frances (John) Renas of Troy and nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his Son: Todd D. Fredette, and his siblings: Joan Donlon and Wayne Fredette.
Relatives and friends are invited to call Monday September 22, 2014 from 4:00-7:00 pm at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday September 23 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham. Fr. Geoffrey Burke will officiate.
Interment will take place in Memory Garden's, Colonie.
