Our family was privileged to meet Mark through Make-A-Wish as he coordinated several events which involved our daughter, Jubilee, a wish child. Our last visit was at the Valley Cats game where we swapped stories of Northeast Vermont where we hailed from prior to our move to New York. Always thoughtful to our entire family, he will be missed! Our prayers are with all the Woroby family!

So sad Mark and I went to school together. He was also one of my groomsmen at my wedding. We had some great times at MHS. Billy Joel got it right "Only the good die young". I'll miss Him

I first met Mark in the late 1970's when he and my brother Dan became friends at Siena College. They were roommates after graduation, and later Mark even moved into my parents house with Dan. Mark became part of the family, hanging his grade school photo on the wall with the photos of my siblings and me, which became a funny family story when people first saw it. At some point Mark moved next door to our neighbor's upstairs apartment, where he lived for many years. Many a night my mother would call up to Mark's open window and have him come over for dinner. As my four siblings and I were no longer living at home, it was especially nice for us knowing that Mark was around. We were so happy for Mark when he met and married Elaine, and although we saw him less often, we marveled at his many accomplishments and the gifts he shared in service of others. Remembering Mark's smiling face, the many stories and his happy disposition help warm our heavy hearts at the loss of our wonderful friend and brother. Godspeed Mark.

Mark was the light that lead the way to Make-A-Wish. At a time in my life that I was questioning where I belonged, Mark showed me where I needed to be. I will always be greatful for the time we worked together and sad that it was so short.

The news of Mark's death hit me like a punch in the stomach. I won't pretend that Mark was more than a casual friend, he wasn't, but that's to my discredit. He was one of the most amazingly good-humored, benevolent, compassionate people I ever met, I sincerely regret that Sienna basketball game that we somehow never quite managed to go to. The world suddenly seems a much less forgiving place now that you're gone, Mark. My sincere condolences to Elaine and all your family.

A real gem of a man, and a real loss to our world.
Mark and I worked together at RPI, and remained friends ever since. He was a light in a crowd, an inspiration when down, a beacon for all in advancement. I know there's a funnier angel in heaven now! I will miss him...

Mark was an incredible example of character, kindness, compassion and loyalty that is unmatched with any other. His passion and vision will live within each of us - that were all so very blessed to get to know him, learn from him, be mentored by him and lucky enough to call him friend. This world is a better place because he was in it and we are better people for knowing him. May god bless Elaine and his family and may each of us carry his smile with us wherever we go.

My wife Susan & I had the distinct privilege of knowing Mark and Elaine for many years. I'll love the world a whole lot less without Mark in it. Dedication, compassion, patience, and an abiding faith in God were the hallmarks of his character. I was deeply honored to know Mark, and I'll never forget him. To Elaine and all his family, Susan and I will hold you all in our prayers and in our hearts. "Deep Peace of the rolling waves to you."

The greatest thing we can hope to accomplish in life is not amassing a fortune in a bank account and not living for a spotlight and praise. Rather, we can hope to leave a legacy of silent greatness. Of knowing we left the earth a better place for what we did quietly on a daily basis -- giving oneself to others and never asking for anything in return. Mark leaves a legacy behind that others will hope to emulate but few ever will. His soft spoken words, beaming smile, and calm energy are what I remember most. I consider my life better for knowing him in person for years and staying in touch through social media recently. My heart hurts for his family. My heart also hurts for those people that never had a chance to meet Mark. Until we meet again, my friend.
