Obituary of Kara N. Valente

KARA N. VALENTE Latham- Kara N. Valente, 24 of Latham, passed away un-expectantly Friday, April 3, 2015 after a courageous two year battle with soft tissue sarcoma. Born in Albany, she was the cherished daughter of Donald C. and Cheryl M. (Poulin) Valente of Latham. Kara attended North Colonie schools and graduated from Shaker High School class of 2008. She attended Hudson Valley Community College, SUNY Plattsburg and The Glam Academy in New Jersey. She was a Make-up Artist with a passion of always looking her best. She was a lifelong resident of Latham and loved her family summer home in Watertown on Lake Ontario. Kara loved playing bingo and taking care of her two cats "cuddles" and "duck". Kara was the loving sister of Scott Ovitt Jr. of Troy and Holly Valente of Kingston, The Paternal Granddaughter of Donald (The late Fran) Valente, Maternal Granddaughter of Beverly (The Late Robert) Poulin of Latham, Cousin & Best Friend of Julia Sennett and Godmother of Jude Sennett. Kara was also survived by many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 10:00 am in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham with Rev. Geoffrey Burke officiating. There will be no public calling hours.
