Obituary of Shirley A. Pinho

SHIRLEY A. PINHO NORTH GREENBUSH - Shirley A. Pinho, 72 of Wynantskill, passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 18, 2007 at Kingston General Hospital, in Kingston Ontario during this recent trip to Canada with her husband. Born in Troy, NY, she was the daughter of the late Walter & Theresa (Silando) Passineau. Shirley was joined in marriage to Dominick A. Pinho on May 15, 1955 and the two shared a blessed union of love and devotion of 52 years prior to her passing. She was employed in the Title Bureau for the NYS Dept of Motor Vehicles, a position from which she retired from in 1997. Prior to that she was employed as a Food Preparer in the Troy High School Cafeteria. She also was a caseworker for Home Health Care and at one time worked in the Engraving Dept. at Montgomery Wards. Shirley loved music especially when she could dance to it, the jitterbug being her favorite. She truly enjoyed traveling with her beloved husband Dominick, and she also had a love for bowling & bingo. Her family as well as her extended family were of utmost priority to her and were the center of her life. Survivors in addition to her husband include her loving children; Wayne (Kim) Pinho of Barrington, NH, Mark (Patty) Pinho of Postenkill and Louise Lorie Pinho of Waterford, her 2 cherished grandsons Jonathan & Brandon Pinho as well as her 5 brothers; Anthony Patalino of FL., Joseph (Sharon) Patalino of NY & FL, Walter (Chris) Passineau of Troy, Robert (Tina) Passineau of Mechanicville and Edward (Barb) Passineau of East Greenbush, and her sister-in-law Delores (George) Whited of Latham. Shirley is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, and her canine companion Heather. She is predeceased by her sister Nancy Gresham (Demars). Funeral Services will be held on Thursday August 23 at 9:30 am from the St. Patrick's Church, 515 19th Street, Watervliet where Shirleys Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are invited to call Wednesday from 4-7 P.M. at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham.
