LOIS K. TEETZ
Albany- Lois K. Teetz, 97, A 3 year resident of Atria Shaker and beloved wife of the late Franklin C. Teetz, passed away peacefully on Sunday August 19, 2007 at St. Peter's Hospital, in Albany.
Born in Oakland, NY on July 30, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Carrie (Creveling) Kernahan.
Lois was a dedicated Teacher for many years, employed by the McNabb School in the Gloversville School District, a position from which she retired. She was also a member of the NYS Retired Teachers Association, Order of the Eastern Star and the North Main St. Methodist Church in Gloversville.
Lois was a much loved mother, grandmother and great grandmother G.G.. She was devoted to her family and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her loving daughter: Ellen (Michael) Dranichak of Menands, NY and her cherished grandchildren; Carin (James) Marsfelder of Vermont, Christina (Joseph) Pustay of Menands and Michael (Lynda) J. Dranichak of Loudonville, and her great grandchildren Josh & Bethany Marsfelder, Caroline & Anna Pustay, and Kathryn, Sara & Abigail Dranichak as well as her Niece; Jean Philips & her family and Mrs. Nancy Argentiere & her son Kevin as well as Robert Hudson.
She is predeceased by her sisters, Frances K. Brown and Mary K. Philips.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Ahmad Sultan and the Staff of St. Peters Hospital for the compassionate & care they showed Lois during these past few weeks.
A private memorial service for family will be held at a later date.
Burial will take place in Nunda, NY where she lived before coming to Gloversville.
Arrangements are under the direction of Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham.
