AUDREY V. HARRISON
Colonie- Audrey V. Harrison, 75 of Colonie, passed away gracefully on Thursday, October 4, 2007 in the comfort of her home with her loving daughters Audrey and Arlene (Parisi), and her cat Nikki by her side.
Born and raised in Yonkers NY, she was the daughter of the late John T. and Emma Dingee. Audrey spent over 30 years as a nurse and a nursing supervisor, caring for others at New Rochelle Hospital now known as the Sound Shore Medical Center. There she made many life long friends and comrades.
In addition to her daughters, Audrey was the mother of Christopher Harrison, proud Mother-in-law to Pat Parisi and loving grandmother to Sister Laurie Marie Parisi, Lisa Parisi and Katie Parisi.
She is predeceased by her brother & sister in law; John and Shirley Dingee.
Audreys family wish to extend their heartfelt thanks to all those who made granting her last wishes possible. Special thanks is extended to the Community Hospice of Rensselaer County, the doctors and nurses of the 6th fl. At Albany Memorial Hospital, the doctors of Community Care Physicians especially to her special friend and Doctor; Dr. Carelle. Know that through your kindness, support and compassion, Mom was able to remain in charge of her life over these past several years.
In keeping with Audreys wishes, there will be no visitation and services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
The family requests that contributions be made in her memory to Community Hospice of Rensselaer Cty., 295 Valley View Blvd., Rensselaer, NY 12144 or to the Mohawk & Hudson Humane Society, Oakland Ave, Menands, NY 12204
Interment will take place in Memory's Garden, Colonie.
