Latham- Larry R. Dubuque, 72 of Latham, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 11, 2007 Albany Memorial Hospital with his loving family by his side.
Born in Grand Isle, VT, on September 9, 1935 raised in Albany, he was the son of the late Laurence and Elizabeth (Beshaw) Dubuque and step-son of the late Nelson Sourdiff. It was on June 11, 1960 that Larry married his beloved the former Virginia A. Flanagan; the two shared a blessed union of 47 years.
Larry was a Letter Carrier employed by U.S. Postal Service; He delivered mail in the Albany, Colonie and Loudonville area for 30 years, until retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Colonie Elks Lodge #2192, and a 45 year member of the National Association of Letter Carriers. Larry enjoyed fishing, gardening and most of all spending summers with his family at their camp in Grand Isle Vermont. A Latham resident since 1974 he was a communicant of St. Ambrose Church.
Survivors in addition to his loving wife, include his loving children Justina (Andrew) Treventi of Loudonville and Steven (Missy) Dubuque of East Greenbush, his 4 cherished grandchildren; Stephanie Treventi, Brian, Cody, and Dylan Dubuque, his brother Gerald Sourdiff of Albany, his Brother in law, Dr. Thomas (Mary) Flanagan of Queensbury and several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his Sister in Law & Brother in Law; Jean and John Scully.
Funeral services will take place on Monday October 15 at 11:00 am from the St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham where Larrys Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Francis Dubois, pastor.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Monday October 15 from 9:30-10:30 am at the St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Rd., Latham or at the home of Justina Treventi after 2:00 p.m. (call funeral home for directions 785-8161)
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Larrys honor to the Adaptive Sports/National Games -117 c/o Michelle Ferravilo Stratton VA Medical Center, 113 Holland Avenue, Albany, New York 12208
Interment will take place Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
