Obituary of Isabel K. Zarzycki

ISABEL K. ZARZYCKI Latham- Isabel K. Zarzycki, 84 of Latham, died Friday, May 30, 2008 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. Born in Cohoes, she was the daughter of the late John A. and Anna Szewczyk Zarzycki. Isabel was a graduate of St. Michaels Grade School in Cohoes, Cohoes High School and attended Siena College in Loudonville. She was a Stenographer employed by New York State Dept. of Commerce in Albany for many years specializing in the promotion of traveling within the State of New York on radio and television until her retirement. Isabel has resided in Latham since 1966 and was a communicant of St. Ambrose Church in Latham. In her younger years she accomplished climbing to the summit of Mt. Marcy. One of Isabels most rewarding times was her volunteer work at Our Lady of Hope Residence in Latham. Survivors include her niece, Joyce A. Bender and her husband Dave Lukas of Hamlin, NY, her Grand Nephew, Andrew (Laurel) Bender of McKinney, TX, Great Great Nephew Henry J. Bender of McKinney, TX, Great Great Niece Olivia Sirchio of McKinney, TX, Grand Niece, Kristen Lukas, Cousin, Helen Baillergeon of Troy, her dear friends, Helen Daly of Latham, Nancy Stazynski of Latham and John Brandt Sr. of Latham. She was predeceased by her brother Henry J. Zarzycki in 1999. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday June 3, 2008 at 9:00 am in St. Ambrose Church 347 Old Loudon Rd. Latham with Rev. Francis DuBois officiating. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Monday from 4-6 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Ltd., 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham.
