Obituary of Joseph E. Blizinski

JOSEPH E. BLIZINSKI COHOES-Joseph E. Blizinski, 81 of Cohoes, beloved husband of Emily Szurlej Blizinski for over 48 years, died Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at his home in Cohoes. Born in Poland, he was the son of the late John and Anna (Jarosz) Blizinski. He was educated in Poland and came to the United States on May 3, 1961. He was a resident of Cohoes for many years and was employed as a laborer for the Adirondack Specialty Steel Co. in Watervliet for over 25 years and retired in 1987. Mr. Blizinski enjoyed walking, nature and most of all he loved his wife, children and grandsons. Survivors include his beloved wife Emily (Szurlej) Blizinski, his loving children Mary (Thomas) Caulfield of Latham, and Michael J. Blizinski of Cohoes, his cherished grandsons, Evan Caulfield, Eric Caulfield and Connor Caulfield all of Latham. He was predeceased by his brothers William Blizinski and Alexander Blizinski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday August 16, 2008 at 9:00 am at Holy Trinity Parish, 122 Vliet Boulevard, Cohoes with Rev. Arthur Becker presiding. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Friday from 5-7 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Waterford.
