Obituary of Marie E. Wilson

MARIE E. WILSON Latham- Marie E. Stebbins Wilson, 94, of Latham, beloved wife of the late Leo R. Wilson, entered into eternal life on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at her home with her beloved family at her side. Born in Green Island, she was the daughter of the late Napoleon Louis and Matilda (Kingsley) Stebbins. Marie was the oldest of seven girls and she was predeceased by her sisters RoseMary Stebbins, Ruth McMullin and Alice Welch. She was a graduate of St. Brigid's school in Watervliet, Catholic Central High School in Troy class of 1939 and Mildred Elly Business School. Marie was Secretary to the Principal at Loudonville School for over 35 years until her retirement. She was a Latham resident for over 62 years and a communicant of St. Ambrose Church in Latham and formerly of Our Lady of the Assumption Church. She was a member of the Latham Business & Professional Women's Association where she served as 2nd Vice-President and Treasurer for 15 years. She was a charter member and life member of the Town of Colonie Historical Society where she served as a board member and corresponding secretary. Survivors include her loving daughters Denise M. (Joseph) Rizzo of Kennebunk, Maine and Deidre M.Wilson (Dan Fields) of Latham and her sisters: Lorraine Johnson, Elizabeth Welch and Regina Kincade. She was the cherished grandmother of Kathleen "Kayce" Wilson (Fields). Judith M. Mansisidor (Rizzo),Joseph Rizzo and Victoria Marie Hanna (Fields), adored great-grandmother of Michael and Regina Hanna, Lucia, Josie and Raymond Mansisidor, Madison, Ben and Sophia Rizzo and Gabriel Danner-Wilson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday September 8, 2015 at 10:00 am in St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham with Rev. John Cairns officiating. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Monday, September 7, 2015 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham, NY. Interment will be next to her husband Leo in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. In memory of Marie, masses at St. Ambrose Church would be appreciated.
