WILLIAM E. ANAMEIER
Cohoes-William E. Anameier, 70 of Cohoes, beloved husband of Mildred Mary Felten Day Anameier for 33 years, entered into eternal life on Friday, May 22, 2009 at Albany Memorial Hospital.
Born in Troy, he was son of the late Edward and Rose Mary Anameier. He attended LaSalle Institute in Troy. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and played as a musician in the Air Force Band. He married his beloved Mildred Mary Felten Day on June 10, 1976 and the two have shared a blessed union.
He was employed as a Carpenter by the United Carpenters Union Local #370, in Albany.
Bill was a very talented musician and played in several local bands as a musician including the "The Townsman Band". He loved riding his motorcycle and had many adventurous rides with his cycling buddies. Bill was a "Master Carpenter" and loved to share his carpentry talents with is family and friends and was always there for them. He loved to entertain his family and friends at his backyard pool.
Survivors in addition to his wife include his step children James (Barbara) Day of Naples, FL, Michael (Marie) Day of Colonie, David (Muriel) Day of Colonie, Kathy (James) Taylor of Bethlehem and Linda Giangreco of Clifton Park. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and cousins. Bill was predeceased by his sister Betsy Farrell.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Bill on Tuesday May 26, 2009 at 9:00 am in St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham with Rev. Francis DuBois officiating.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham
Interment will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie.
