Obituary of Jerome A. Andrulonis

JEROME A. ANDRULONIS Latham- Jerome A. "Jerry" Andrulonis 72, of Latham, beloved husband of Joanna Andrulonis, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2015. . Born in Danville, PA, on February 27, 1943, he was the son of the late Anthony C. Andrulonis DDS and Anne M. (Schneider) Andrulonis. Jerome and his wife Joanna were married in Brooklyn, New York on June 24, 1967, cherishing 48 years of marriage before his passing. Jerry received his Bachelors degree from Marist College, later earning his Masters Degree in Biology from the College of St. Rose. He was a Virologist in Rabies Diagnosis and Research, employed by the NYS Dept of Health before retiring in 1978. During the mid 1970's, Jerome was the director of Junior High Religious Education at Our Lady of the Assumption. He was a Life Member of the Watervliet Knights of Columbus and was also classified as an organ donor. Survivors include his beloved wife Joanna Andrulonis and loving children, Anne-Maria Russ of Somerset, MA, Anthony F. "Buck" Andrulonis from Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and Joanna (John) Luchsinger of Durham, NH. Jerome was also a proud grandfather who leaves behind six cherished grandchildren Corey, John, Jeromey, Mia, Joseph and Jeffrey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother Paul Andrulonis. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday November 11, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Assumption Church 498 Watervliet-Shaker Rd. Latham with Rev. Geoffrey Burke officiating. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Tuesday from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral home. 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Interment will be at Memory's Garden Cemetery in Colonie.
