I always thought Mary was such a sweet person, fun to be around. I am so glad she attended the last family reunion here at the Carter homestead. I am sure her wonderful Mom and Dad welcomed her into heaven with open arms. She will be missed.

I am so sad, so many memories, growing up, My Dad .Herbert (as Aunt Elsie called my father) would take us up to Mary's parent's camp . We would swim, go for boat rides play on PT109 the big inner tube, play kick the can . I remember that Mary would organize ballgames at the Carter reunions. Mary is the kind of person you wanted to hangout with. We will all miss her smile. Nick

Mary was a beloved High School classmate of mine, We proudly graduated as alumni of the Lyon Mountain High School class of 1963. I rememember Mary as one of our class intellects. My deepest sympathy to Mary's family. I spoke with Mary while planning my step-mother, Eleanor Carter's bridal shower. I met her at the shower and visited with her again at the wedding. I remember her as being outgoing and loving. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

I cannot express how saddened we are about Mary's passing. You all have been, and will continue to be, in our thoughts. Mary was always so kind to us and I am happy to have known her these last few years. It is obvious what a wonderful wife, mother and member of the community she was. I was so sorry to read of Mary's passing. We worked together at Forts Ferry for many years. She was a wonderful part of our school family, an excellent teacher whose gentle soul and quiet sense of humor made her everyone's favorite sub. She and I shared the special bond of having boys the same age and spent lots of time talking about Jay and Matt. You have my deepest sympathy.

We are so sorry for all of you. Her positive attitude and warm personality will carry on with all of us.
