Obituary of Rita D. Scharg

RITA D. SCHARG Loudonville- Rita Dorothea Scharg, 83 of Loudonville, slipped into eternity on Tuesday April 5, 2016 at Hospice Inn at St. Peters, after a brief illness. Rita was the wife of Robert, whom she cherished through 58 years of marriage. Born in the Bronx, she was the daughter of the late Rita Leveque and Raymond DePaoli. Rita began her working career as a bookkeeper with Scandinavian Airlines System in Queens, where she met her husband, Robert. In 1970 they relocated to the Capital District where she received her real estate license. After honing her skills with several firms, she established her own agency, Rita D. Realty. Rita enjoyed travel, especially to Hawaii. She was passionate about her family. She leaves behind her husband, Robert; daughter Carolyn Lalli; granddaughter Cristianne Lalli and her brother, Frank Dorritie. The family wishes to extend their sincerest appreciation to the staff at Atria Guilderland for their compassionate care and assistance, as well as all who reached out to her and her family to make her final years and days comfortable. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday April 8, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Road, Loudonville. Relatives and friends are invited to call Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Interment St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
