WILLIAM H. HOULIHAN
Latham- William H. Houlihan 90, of Latham, beloved husband of the late Theresa Graber Houlihan passed away peacefully on Sunday May 29, 2016 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital.
Born October 6th 1925 in North Albany, William was the son of the late William D. and Margaret (Richardson) Houlihan. He married his beloved Theresa Graber on November 29, 1958 and the two shared a beautiful marriage of 55 years prior to her passing in 2013. .
William was a 1943 Graduate of Catholic Central High School. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1944 until 1946. He was a Warehouse Supervisor employed by the Watervliet Arsenal for over 37 years until retiring in 1988. William was a 55'er at Our Lady of Assumption, and a member of young at heart at St. Ambrose Church in Latham. He was also a member of the Colonie Senior Citizens and the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Albany.
Survivors include his loving children William (Tammy) L. Houlihan of Scottsdale, AZ and Timothy J. Houlihan of Latham. He is also survived by his cherished granddaughter Caitlin Houlihan of AZ., his loving and ever dedicated sister-in-law Sr. Katherine Graber RSM of Albany and in-laws Karol Graber, Joan Graber and Marge Graber. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his sisters Margaret Kobler, Theresa Alvaro and and Jean Sterentino
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Dufresne and Cavanaugh funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday June 3, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road Latham with Rev. Geoffrey Burke officiating.
Interment will be next to his beloved wife Theresa and his parents at St. Agnes Cemetery Menands.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are appreciated to the Sisters of Mercy 634 New Scotland Ave. Albany 12208.
