Obituary of Ellen M. Hahn

ELLEN M. HAHN Latham - Ellen M. Hahn, 67 of Latham entered into eternal life on Sunday, July 17, 2016 at her home in Latham with her loving children at her side. Born in Binghamton, NY on May 16, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (O'Dea) Murphy. She was raised in Binghamton and moved to the Capital District as a young woman. Ellen was employed by North Colonie Central School District in the Human Resource Department for over 25 years retiring in 2013. She has been a Latham resident for over 35 years and was a member of the Latham Welcome Wagon. She enjoyed gardening, antiquing and had a love of the beach, especially Virginia Beach. Her greatest joy in her life was her two children, raising them and supporting them at all of their athletic events. Survivors include her cherished daughter Nicole (Nicki) Hahn and son Robert T. (Bobby) Hahn both of Latham. She was the sister of Evelyn Sympson, Joseph N. Murphy, Jr., M. Martha Murphy-Hutchins and John Murphy. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many wonderful neighbors. Ellen was predeceased by her sister, Mary Murphy Lim. Funeral services will be held Tuesday July 19, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham with Rev. Anthony Barratt officiating. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. til 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham.
