WILLIAM J. LOSASSO
Troy- William J. LoSasso, 87 of Troy, beloved husband of Marie LoSasso, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's, in Albany.
Born in Bronx, NY on May 20, 1929, he was the son of the late James and Grace (Shields) LoSasso. Bill was married to the former Marie Edison for 63 wonderful years prior to his passing. He proudly served during the Korean War in the United States Army.
Bill was an Executive Banker for various banking institutions in New York City and Boston for 35 years. He was a member of the Audubon Society and was an avid photographer. Bill loved to travel and took his family on many camping trips as they grew up, to national parks in 42 states.
In addition to his beloved wife Marie, he is survived by his loving children: Diane Skiba of Loudonville, Barbara Castaldo of Troy and William J. LoSasso Jr. of Hanson, MA. Seven cherished grandchildren: Gregory and Trevor Skiba, Jessica Castaldo, Robert (Jennifer) Castaldo Jr., George Castaldo, William J. LoSasso III and Dana Lynn LoSasso as well as his siblings: Rosemarie LoSasso of CA, Phyllis Kieffer of Long Island, Frank LoSasso of NY and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his Sister: Grace Burns
Funeral services will be celebrated privately and at the convenience of the family at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Latham.
Interment with military honors will take place in Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Bill's memory to the American Cancer Society, 1 Penny Lane, Latham, NY 12110.
