We have only met a few times, as your father and my patents knew one another. Tom and Kate Fitzpatrick are my parents. My deepest heartfelt condolences goes out to you all. I met John when his children were attending MCFK child care center. He always had a smile on his face, a joke or funny story to share for example when Josh went down the laundry shoot.. He was hardworking, dedicated and most of all a very proud dad. I am so sorry to hear of John's passing and send my condolences to his children and family. My love, thoughts and prayers are with the entire Hulbert Family. I was so shocked to hear about John. I have fond memories of growing up at St. Pius with the Hulbert boys, then continuing on to know them during high school....connection between the boys at CBA and me at Holy Names. Remembering Holy Names Holly Ball--I had the honor of attending with John and my friend Maureen went with Luke...a double date (and a perfect match and years later a great marriage between Luke and Maureen). John was a kind soul back then and knew his kindness would carry on to his adult life....it's in the Hulbert blood as Matthew, Mark, Luke and John had amazing examples in their parents. We are all blessed to have known John and may the treasured memories you have bring some comfort to your hearts--he will always be with you. Carry on his legacy with pride and passion.-John will guide you and all of us. God bless all of you.

I knew John from CBA and Villanova where he was two years ahead of me. At Villanova John would give me rides back and forth to Albany on breaks my freshman and sophomore years. My heartfelt condolences go out to your entire family. I met John at Villanova University in the fall of 1985 and we graduated together in 1989. We lived together at Stanford Hall for two years and we were Zeta Psi fraternity brothers. We lost touch over the years after graduation from Nova, but re-connected a few years ago and so glad we did. Grateful I got to catch up with John and re-live some fond memories of our time at Nova. John was a friend to all who were blessed enough to come in contact with him. He would light up the darkest room. No matter the situation, John always had a Brightside to look at the situation. John was the most Loyal, kindest, tender hearted being. To know John was to love John. John loved his children so much and was so proud of each of them. I could go on and on about how much John impacted all who knew him. John made this place better.
